Spring Break, Anglicanism, and Senior Year: Weekly Update for March 16th, 2012

Spring Break, Anglicanism, and Senior Year: Weekly Update for March 16th 2012.

Academics: I’ve been accepted to the MA in English at Abilene Christian University and Liberty University. I’m still awaiting word from Baylor University and the Fulbright Commission. Acceptance or rejection, I would like to hear something. Anything. A hint of something. I’ve also been on spring break, which has been very relaxing.

Two weeks until senior comprehensives. Pray for me.

Seven weeks (give or take) until graduation. Pray for me.

Post-graduation: I’d like to get a job somewhere working and save up a bit more money before going boldly into that unknown abyss. I’ll start pondering options soon.

I’m also learning not to worry about what (other) people think regarding what I should do with my future. I’m a people pleaser, and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it can be stressful. I’m slowly learning to do the opposite.

Physical: I’ve walked almost every day this week for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Religion: I took my mother to her first Anglican Mass on Sunday. She liked the sermon, but was shocked at how many times I crossed myself during the service. She asked if I was going to become a “member” (aka, real life Anglican). I responded with a laugh, which has multiple meanings.

Only a few weeks until Easter. Thank goodness.

To-do: Church clean-up day and back to school. Also gotta read two chapters from Ulysses by James Joyce.
